Imagine Cup 2008 is upon us already

The Imagine Cup Software Challenger 2008 has opened with a new format for 2008. You will need to get your idea in by December the 14th and then (hopefully) onto an innovation accelerator and then to the final UK round. I think the new format will help level the field a lot allowing teams to shine with innovation not just coding. BUT after the idea comes the coding so ....

Mark Johnston is super exited about the cup, if you have questions I am sure he will answer them.

This year there is also the HPC Challenge which I am very interested in seeing the how the teams do. This is a hard subject area to compete in as there is no "shiny ui" and it should be harder to obfuscate any poor idea's. In a change ( I think ) the top 5 teams all get 2000 UKP :) and the winning team gets 5000UKP ( or another 5000 UKP  , I am not sure )

This years subject is the environment which is an interesting but potentially hard area for software development, but the imagine cup is all about Imagination, so if you are a student get thinking and Enter Here for the Software Challenger and here
